What is your passion?

I have three amazing little boys.  There is no doubt that they are my life, my reason for living, my motivation, my heart and soul.  If you would have asked me not long ago, "What is your passion?"  The answer would have been simple, I wouldn't have thought twice about about this.  My quick response would have been, "My children."  My boys are growing now, and I've been told that I need to "cut the cord" a bit.  While I still find this absolutely hilarious (because you see, that will never happen), I did however find myself at a point in my life where I needed to take a look at myself.  Who am I?  What do I stand for?  How do you treat people?  Do you give back to the world, to people who really need it?  What are you doing to make a difference?

I have always considered myself a caring, empathetic person.  I love people, I love children, I love animals, and I love the elderly (yes I easily could have survived as a hippie).  I needed more. I want my boys to grow up and not just see me as a mom that was always there for them, but I want them to look back and say, "Because of my mom I am a better person."  I want my sons to look back and think,  "People can change. People can make a difference, even if it is small.  People can mess up and pull themselves out.  People are flawed but this world is a beautiful place."  I want to live as a kind person, and I want to raise kind humans.  I am so far from perfect.  I have made mistakes.  I have hurt people, sometimes so badly that I shouldn't have been forgiven, but I was.  I want my sons to know that it is OK to be an imperfect person, but fix the flaw the first time you are forgiven because everyone is not always given a second chance.

So my response to the question "What is your passion?" has changed a little.  I want to live for others.  I want to serve others and make a difference in their lives. I want to give my heart to everyone I encounter.  Cheesy? Maybe, but it is the truth.  I also know that what I do is measured on a small scale, but I am fine with that.  At the end of each day I am home with the people that mean the most to me, and these are the people whose lives I want to impact the most.

So why post this here, why share this with you all?  I take every big project I do as seriously as the small.  I am here to serve you.  This is a personal business and each order I complete is literally sent out with a piece of my heart.  I look forward to working with you and bringing your "ideas to life".

XOXO
